My passion for sculpture was nurtured by my apprenticeship with Dr. Boris Blai, a contemporary of Augusta Rodin. After a stint in fine art, I discovered the Toy and Gift industry. I began my industrial art career at Playskool, Inc. as a designer, inventor, and sculptor. After a seven years at Playskool, I spent a year at Marvin Glass & Associates, the leading toy concept company in the U.S. A position as a Senior Sculpting Coordinator arose at Tonka Corporation. After several years, I ventured out on my own and formed Benicaso Studios, a sculpting house servicing the Toy and Gift Industry since 1988. Abilities: action figures, grotesques, pre-school. Materials: Hasbro wax, castilene, urethene foam, wood. RTV molds and hard copies.
